Katie Kaplan is an award-winning investigative television news journalist who has worked in newsrooms across the country, from Southern California to North Florida, and several stops in-between.
While she’s held just about every position, from producer and writer, to camerawoman and evening anchor, her career has focused on reporting on breaking news, homicide trials and cold cases. Her award-winning ‘Unsolved’ series, in which she researched, wrote, filmed and edited the pieces, resulted several times in new details being revealed, a reinvigorated investigation by law enforcement and national coverage on the case.
Most recently, Katie has ventured into the world of podcasting in hopes of reaching a more widespread audience to help crack cold cases.
